Cortese - about the grape variety
Cortese has been grown in Piedmont since the 18th century, but not much has disappeared and completely disappeared. It was again extensively restored by winemakers in the 1950s. The vine is very energetic with excellent constant yields, but relatively prone to mold. It is suitable for the production of both still and sparkling wines; intended for archiving and immediate consumption.
